Dr. John Burroughs, Colorado Springs Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon, is always researching and looking out for exciting new technologies for facial and skin rejuvenation that work and can be done non-invasively, minimally invasively, or combined with surgery or other procedures to maximize rejuvenation results that look natural. Approximately a year ago, he discovered Facetite and Necktite and began offering these services, and was one of the first in Colorado. “Tweeners” or those between the age of about 35 up to about 55 want to help keep their faces look their best. One of Dr. Burroughs most popular procedures is the mini facelift also called the weekend life, lifestyle lift, quick lift, short-scar facelift and others. It is popular because the downtime of a few days is pretty minimal, and the results fantastic. However, it is still surgery where incisions are made and suturing is required. It mostly addresses the jowls, but can in many patients help lift sagging neck tissue, but doesn’t address neck fat or extreme central neck laxity and sagging adequately.

NeckTite, like FaceTite is performed through small injection holes through which bipolar radiofrequency that can tighten the skin up to 40%. Only local anesthesia is needed, and some patients opt for some oral sedation as well. It is performed in the office setting, and only has minimal downtime of a day or so. No sutures, no scalpels, no surgery. Dr. Burroughs has seen results with this procedure in his practice approximating 50-60% of his facelift results. It can be done alone or along with a face or necklift to enhance the results. For example, the radiofrequency heat liquefies unwanted fat to help reduce the appearance of fatty jowls or submental fat in the neck. It can be done with aspiration liposuction and offers the advantage of skin tightening. Additionally, non-ablative skin resurfacing with fractora is popular in Dr. Burroughs practice as it will further tighten the skin superficially to improve wrinkle and skin texture concerns.

This patient is a school teacher, and wished to have her lower face rejuvenated and did not like her sagging neck. She felt she felt better than her appearance showed. She underwent a surgical lower mini facelift done through a relatively small incision in front of her ears, and also underwent NeckTite to tighten her neck skin and had fat removed with the NeckTite bipolar radiofrequency heat followed by aspiration.

She was very pleased with her post procedure results, and that she had a jawline back and loved her new neck.   She also had lip filler giving her a more youthful and attractive look. She felt ready to start teaching again and that her energy and enthusiasm showed both through her personality as well as her facial appearance.

If you want a face or necklift with or without surgery then call us for a consultation. Sometimes surgery still remains the best answer, but facetite and necktite offer an exciting solution that works for many and can delay having to need surgery or enhance it if done with it.
