Dr. John Burroughs of Springs Aesthetics offers Dysport® for men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock and other areas of Colorado. Dysport® helps with lines and wrinkles that are caused by your facial expressions. With over 20 years experience in ophthalmic plastic surgery, Dr. Burroughs travels around the world, teaching injection best practices and techniques.

What is Dysport®?

Dysport® is a neuromodulator, meaning that it is in the family of facial line fillers that work by temporarily relaxing certain muscles of your face. The mechanism is important for anti-aging plans because some of the wrinkles you have are caused by muscle contractions when you use facial expressions. The results may last several months.

How Much Does Xeomin® Cost?

Dr. Burroughs explains how many units are needed during the consultation. If you would like to make monthly payments for your Xeomin® injections, we work with CareCredit® and Alphaeon® as financing options for our patients.

Am I a Candidate for Dysport®?

Dysport® is ideal for men and women with vertical lines between the eyes (frown lines), lines that run across the forehead and crow’s feet. Dysport® can be used on older patients who have these types of wrinkles, as well as younger patients who want an injectable product to possibly prevent wrinkles.

What Can Be Treated with Dysport®?

Dysport® injections are effective for mild to moderate frown lines. It may also be used for crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes.

How is Dysport® Performed?

Dysport® injections are administered into the muscles that you use for facial expressions that lend to dynamic wrinkles. The treatment is performed by Dr. Burroughs or one of our licensed nurse injectors. Several injections are made to produce an even and consistent relaxation of the muscles. You may see a small amount of improvement immediately after the treatment, and full results can take three to seven days.

Do Dysport® Injections Hurt?

Dysport® itself does not produce any pain. Any discomfort that you experience during the procedure is due to the process of inserting a needle into the muscle tissue. The sensation is very short. If you are unable to stay relaxed during the Dysport® injections, we can numb the skin.

What is Recovery Like After Dysport®?

Dysport® injections are minimally-invasive treatment, so you will not have any downtime or recovery. You can return to your normal activities right after the treatment. Some patients report mild swelling and bruising around each injection site, and these symptoms typically only last for one to two days.

How Long Will Dysport® Results Last?

The results of your Dysport® injections may last four to six months. Some patients may need Dysport® less often if received several times over a long period of time.
