  • Loose skin
  • Dimpled skin

How Much Does MiniFX® Cost?

The average cost of our MiniFX® non-surgical body shaping treatment can vary based on treatment area and how many areas are being treated. We can provide a more specific cost after your consultation with our aestheticians. We have several payment options, including financing through Alphaeon® and CareCredit®.

How is MiniFX® Performed?

MiniFX® is designed to treat smaller sections of your body, and these areas are marked prior to the treatment to help guide the aesthetician. The treatment requires no local or topical anesthesia. The MiniFX® handpiece is slowly moved over the area while the radiofrequency heat energy is applied. You will feel a slight pull as the device suction pulls the skin upward into contact with the handpiece treatment chamber. The treatment will take about one hour with each section being treated for about ten minutes.

Is MiniFX® Similar To CoolSculpting?

No.  MiniFX® treatments utilize heat to remodel the skin and destroy fat, whereas, CoolSculpting utilizes cold to destroy fat.  MiniFX® carries many advantages in that it not only can destroy fat and improve shapely contours, but it tightens the skin whereas CoolSculpting does not powerfully tighten.  Further, MiniFX® does not carry the same risks of rebound fat hypertrophy or persistent nerve discomfort that has been reported with CoolSculpting.  Dr. Burroughs has utilized radiofrequency MiniFX and BodyFX since 2017 with no serious complications or issues.

What is Recovery Like After MiniFX®?

There really is no downtime, and you can return to your normal schedule right after the MiniFX® treatment. The skin may be slightly red and slightly swollen for the first one to two days. You should take cooler showers and baths, avoid vigorous scrubbing of the skin, and use moisturizer for the first few days.

How Many Treatments & How Long Will MiniFX® Results Last?

Generally a series of 6 weekly MiniFX® procedure treatments is needed.  Final results of your MiniFX® procedure, and each session should be performed weekly. Final results can take up to 3-6 months. The fat cells die during the treatment, but you may still gain new fat in the area. Results can last for years and the fat loss is permanent, but surrounding fat in the areas can hypertrophy (enlarge) if you gain weight.  You can extend the results of your non-surgical body shaping treatments by staying active, healthy, and maintain your weight.
